The Brief
Our Founder John had worked with ex-Corrie star Luca Toolan on a short film right before he bagged the gig on the Cobbles and the pair have remained in touch.
Luca wanted to put together a charity livestream to raise much needed money for a family friend of his to pay for cancer treatment as her condition took a turn for the worse.
He gathered fellow Corrie stars along with social media personalities to pop in and take part in fun chat, games, dares all in the hope of raising as much money for ‘Hope For Karla’ as they could.
After Luca initially approached John to borrow some lighting equipment, it became clear there was much more Imprint Films could offer….

This was a project arranged on around a week's notice, given a dramatic need to act quickly for Karla in support of her treatment, so the team had to think fast. John immediately arranged for 3 different crew to man the cameras at different times throughout the day and ensure that the stream didn’t drop.
Utilising Imprint Films’ BlackMagic 6K Pro cameras, along with Aputure 300d and 600d lights, the team then set up the stream through OBS software and vision mixed the stream throughout the day across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Twitch.
Once the day was done, the team had raised over £3,000.00 in around 12 hours, which was a fantastic result and a great sum to go straight to supporting a very special lady’s recovery.
